Enterprise Challenge
The Enterprise Challenge has been developed to identify the best and brightest new innovative business ideas and solid business plans. The Enterprise Challenge is an interactive business plan competition that will incorporate business resource nights, mentoring, coaching and an ‘MBA in a Day Workshop’ to help participants gain the basic skills necessary to create a business plan. There will also be networking opportunities. Everyone who participates will gain a better understanding of entrepreneurship, starting a business and sustaining its success.
The Enterprise Challenge is tailored to and targeted at Yakima County entrepreneurs with limited independent business experience. If participants have formed a business, it must be less than three years old.
Top Prize $10,000! 2nd Place $5,000 and 3rd Place $2,500.
New Vision will use a variety judges throughout the several stages of the contest to evaluate participant’s ideas and plans. Judges will use factors such as innovation, relevant expertise, competitive advantage and market opportunity to select contest winners (and participants that will advance further in the competition). The top winners will be presented at the gala finale in December.
The contest officially gets started with a half-day workshop, MBA in a Day, on September 15th. This event will feature business education breakout sessions and a luncheon with keynote speaker, Rebecca Lovell, Executive Director from the Northwest Entrepreneur Network. Ms. Lovell has literally reviewed thousands of business plans and will be giving tips on what it takes to be successful entrepreneur.
