  • Counselors to America’s Small Business (SCORE):  SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
  • Small Business Development Center (SBDC): The Yakima Small Business Development Center (SBDC) promotes economic vitality by providing advice, training, and research to entrepreneurs and existing businesses throughout central Washington. Whether you are well established or just starting out, the Yakima SBDC can make a difference for your business. Located in the Central Washington Business Resource Center, the SBDC offers a host of services designed to help you grow your business, achieve higher profits, and improve operations.  The Yakima SBDC business advisor is certified with a national accreditation process and any client of the SBDC can count on getting the help they need.
  • Rural Community Development Resources (RCDR):  RCDR manages a Microenterprise Revolving Loan Fund that provides technical assistance, educational workshops and access to loans for low/moderate income entrepreneurs, which do not qualify for bank financing, and/or businesses that will create jobs for low/moderate income persons.  RCDR has facilities for a Small Business Incubator and is a Center for Latino Farmers.  Also, RCDR provides technical assistance and business development workshops.

  • Yakima County Development Association (YCDA):  New Vision, The Yakima County Development Association is a public-private non-profit corporation created to enhance the income and employment stability of the local economy. YCDA encourages business investment that will create jobs, expand the local tax base and also works with local companies on expansion and workforce development programs.  YCDA will work with new or existing companies to identify sites, tax credit programs or how to pursue government contracting.
