Mind Your Own Biznik

There’s a really cool not-so-new (but new to me) website out there called Biznik. It’s like Facebook for businesses and on first glance, I think it combines the best features from LinkedIn and Facebook to offer a really great tool for social AND business networking. I’ve registered the Yakima Valley Entrepreneur Network on it, and am going to look into it further to see how it can help get the word out on the network. I always remember reading Dear Abby and one of her standard reply is MYOB…Mind Your Own Business. When I first heard of Biznik it made me think of that saying. How fitting though, if you don’t mind your own business, who is going to?

Here’s a tip for you: Yesterday we launched a new feature of Biznik that I think may interest you: Groups. There are already more than 150 groups on Biznik because of a beta test in which many users created groups. I think it would be a great way to get the word out and attract new members to the Yakima Valley Entrepreneur Network if you have a presence on Biznik Groups.
Let us know how Biznik can support your efforts. We’re tiny by comparison to the social networks you mentioned – just 26,000 member so far, but our goals is to have 100k asap (if everyone on Biznik invited just 3 friends, we’d reach that number tomorrow!)
